Born and raised in south Germany, Janis commitment to make films began as a young kid. He initially filmed what he naturally felt passionate about; skateboarding and street culture, and today cinematography became a full time commitment.

Physical endurance with playful camerawork and a fast but visually strong way of capturing things on camera are his biggest assets. Janis feels home in both worlds. May it be large sets with preparatory time in advance or small real life surroundings with mini crew.
